The birth

The birth

The company was created to achieve Pier Giovanni Capellino's aim: to be the first in the world to produce a wet pet food with 100% HFC ingredients, i.e. originally suitable for human consumption. 

 

It would go on to become a new quality standard imitated by many.

The company expands internationally, becoming a true "pocket multinational". It is also the year of the campaign that celebrates the move of the tagline "From their point of view" to "aLmore", thus anticipating the role that the brand will take on in the defence of dogs, cats and nature.

HFC Dry Food

HFC Dry Food

In 2013 the HFC standard, which requires the use of ingredients originally suitable for human consumption, was extended to dry food. It's another world first.

Plant-basted Cat Litter

Plant-basted Cat Litter

100% single-vegetable, 100% compostable, 100% additive-free cat litter, is introduced into the market.

Fondazione Capellino

The Fondazione Capellino was born with the precise objective of safeguarding biodiversity and combating climate change.

 

From now on, all dividends deriving from Almo Nature are made available to the Foundation, by decision of Pier Giovanni and Lorenzo Capellino.

Almo Nature becomes 100% owned by the Fondazione Capellino

Almo Nature becomes 100% owned by the Fondazione Capellino

Following the request to the Revenue Agency and the recognition of the Foundation's status as a "non-profit commercial entity", Pier Giovanni and Lorenzo donate Almo Nature with an irreversible public deed to the Capellino Foundation, forever renouncing 100% of the rights assets and 100% of voting rights

The economic model consisting of a Foundation that owns 100% of a company is officially called Reintegration Economy: reintegrating the added value created by economic activities (less costs and taxes) to nature rather than to the growth of individual financial wealth.
